Wilson, NC - It took hours of veterinary care to bring Elsas temperature up enough to register on a thermometer. The rescue agency commended the good Samaritan who took the time to reach out for help, and the veterinary staff who diligently worked to help save Elsas life: THANKFULLY because of our wonderful vet and the Good Samaritan that WOULD NOT walk away, she is alive and holding on. Shes a lucky one and we feel feel like she will make it through the night. Just a day after Elsa was saved from her frigid existence, she was a new dog - mobile and happy. If not for the good Samaritan who took note of her plight, the story would be different - the news would likely be one about the discovery of a dog who had frozen to death last week. According to ABC 11 News, talks are underway about pressing charges against Elsas owners.
