Win Dat/TRU DAT Chronicles Opponent: Panthers Attire: ALL BLACK 13: Times Saints have sacked Cam the past 3 meetings. Injury Report: DeAngelo Williams--Out Homecoming: Jim Skipper, Tre Turner, R.Harper Offensive Win Dat: Attack The Panthers secondary. They are young and inexperienced at Corner Back. 3 of the top 4 Panthers CBs are Rookies. The Safeties Harper, and Decoud are horrible in coverage, Tre Boston a rookie safety will play also. Give Drew the time and exploit that secondary. Playing zone against the Saints is a bad idea if you 1. dont have good coverage guys or 2. a good consistent pass rush. The Panthers have neither. Last week the Steelers blitzed 50% of the time and got burnt. Panthers will blitz, but theyre going to have to disguise coverages between zone, man, 2 deep, single high, etc. Last week Graham was bracketed which resulted in 0 catches. the emphasis on Graham opened things up for Stills and the run game. The Panthers will use Luke and Thomas Davis underneath on Jimmy when hes inside the numbers, those 2 will be physical and try to disrupt the patterns. Jimmy outside the numbers will draw a safety most likely Decoud. The Panther best pass rusher is Charles Johnson, Armstead has to move his feet and redirect Johnson. Dont allow Johnson to have a good day. Star is coming back for the Panthers and make them a little better against the run. The Panthers LBs flow and tackle well sideline to sideline, but North/South right at them is a different story. We finally have our full compliment of RBs. Run at the Panthers, run left, use some combo blocks, and play action. Those rookie CBs should be susceptible to either double moves or play action, but the RUN GAME will be key for the WHO DATS. Stills/Morgan getting explosive plays down field leave the middle open for Graham, Colston, Toon. Hopefully well see some screen plays today. Just protect Drew so he doesnt have to rush his throws and the secondary of the Panthers can be picked apart. Teddy Bridgewater (rookie QB) had a really good week against the Panthers last week Defensive Win Dat: Cam, Stewart, Benjamin. Cam puts pressure on a defense by being elusive and looking to run while outside the pocket. Jordan and Gallette along with Humber, and Hawthorne have to set the edge and also dont lose outside integrity. Last game against Carolina, Gallete was losing his outside responsibility by going inside and trying to get sacks. When Gallete did this Newton could see the the opening on the perimeter of the defense, saw running daylight and exposed us. The key is staying outside and forcing Cam to run inside. Inside Jenks and Hicks have to push the pocket and make Cam step back not up into his throws. Vikings had 4 sacks last week. with the Panthers Oline issues we can expose it with the CROWD NOISE, and some stunts and zone dogs. Get Cam with some happy feet back there. Bring that pressure, force Cam into 2nd and 3rd and long and well get some high throws or turnovers out of him. Stewart is going to be the running back along with Whitaker, since Williams is out. Hicks and Jenks have to be stout against the Panthers Oline, allowing Lofton and crew to fill. The most important thing is to tackle and get Stewart to the ground. Dline has to be aggressive and make an impact. Benjamin is Cams most most targeted player, Olsen is his most reliable target. Keenan will get the call on Benjamin most of the game. WHO DATS have to force Cam to look at other WR(s) or his check down, to make plays. Make him go through his progressions. He relies heavily on Benjamin and Olson so if they do catch a pass, tackle well and bring them down. Limit both of his favorite targets to under 60 yards. If we can do that, it bodes well. JUMP ON THE PANTHERS EARLY. Theyve loss 6 straight lets make it 7. Thank you to all the weekly readers #WDTDC #ALL BLACK #SAINTS LIFE #WHO DAT
