Win and advance is the name of the game this month of the year and thats exactly what the Hanover Horton Comets did this evening at Concord vs the Vandercook Jayhawks.Another slow start had the coach fuming at the lack of focus and he called a timeout as early as I can recall and proceeded to stomp a hole in floor to get his point across.The point seemed to be well taken as play started to improve and they were up at halftime and pushed the 3rd quarter lead to as many as 15 before letting the birds back in again as the Hawks closed it to 6 before another rally opened it up again. Another late flurry produced some easy buckets against the gambling Vandy defense and brought the final to 63-48.Kenzie Brockie was lights out in the first half going the hole,and Preston Laketa absolutely owned the glass and a like effort will be needed to handle a tough Homer squad on Wednesday night at 6pm
