Wina Claims She Didn’t Take Sides in PF Wrangles Patriotic Front chairperson Inonge Wina says she never took sides in the heat of two party conferences when she convened the team Edgar Lungu conference at the expense of acting President Guy Scott’s meeting the following day. Wina, who is the one who presented Lungu with the adoption certificate despite her standing suspension, said that the people that shunned the meeting were cowards who did not want to meet they sought to lead on Sunday. She said that it was logical that the meeting with more than 3, 000 delegates was the legitimate PF meeting – even though none of the other aspirants were present. Wina said that her duty was to adhere to the constitution of the party. She said that the people in the party had made it clear who their choice for party president and candidate was. “Ask the man who is accusing me of being bias if he came for the bigger conference where there were over 3, 000 delegates. They did not want to meet and wanted to sit comfortably where the president was,” she said. “I was not being biased because I wanted to follow the constitution of the party.” Wina ensured the conference on Sunday went ahead to elect a president although only one candidate pitched with the other nine not showing up.
