Wind has turned out of the north at about 10 mph. Temperature is down to 47. Its that time of year where you get the occasional reminder of winter as we start the relentless climb toward summer heat. I suspect the Lacy and Chinquapin Oaks will start to bud this week or next. The crepe myrtles will be last. On a side note, I cut my thumb with a pruning saw yesterday. Lots of excitement and a tetanus shot. Not real sure why I wasnt wearing gloves of which I have about a dozen pair. Oh, well, as my mother used to say, live and learn; die and forget it all.
