[Windows 8.1 SL] URGENT! A friend of mine in overseas is having this issue: She had a mandatory system update few days ago and now her laptop cannot be logged on. She tried to reformat the laptop herself but this time it didnt work. Technician told her that it needs to be sort of downgrade the OS and she can no longer reformat herself & update the system after it is being done. Her laptop is quite new and still under warranty but she needs to pay additional cost for the downgrade service. Can I know if this is a common problem for Windows 8.1 SL? Is it okay if the system can no longer be updated? Thanks.
