Windows for Burns Night 2014- Contemporary Poems on Dumfries - TopicsExpress

Windows for Burns Night 2014- Contemporary Poems on Dumfries Windowpanes. Following the success of last year’s event Hugh Bryden, Roncadora Press, will run the event again from January 17th to February 17th in The Globe Inn, The Coach and Horses and the Robert Burns House Museum in Dumfries. As with last year’s event, poems will be placed in the windows of the three venues with some readable from outside and some from inside. A leaflet will be produced promoting the event and there will be a Facebook page and a large amount of internet promotion. Due to large increases in postal costs it has been decided to try a different format: • Poets wishing to participate should write their poem in a bold black pen onto an A4 sheet of paper, remember most of the poems will be read from several feet away. • Poets should either scan, then save as a jpeg and e-mail to roncadorapress@gmail, or mail the poem to Hugh Bryden 14 Corberry Avenue Dumfries DG2 7QQ and we will scan it. • Poems should be the poet’s own work, written by them and signed. • Poems should arrive by Monday 13th January. There will be a pamphlet featuring poems from last year’s windows on sale during this year’s event.
