Winner of the second quarter final battle: SUPERNATURAL Buffy the Vampire Slayer kicked her way into the the quarter finals, and received an impressive 332 votes. It is poetic that she was taken down by Supernatural, who fought, well, um, supernaturally, taking the round with 380 votes. Buffy the Vampire Slayer was one of the most successful series to come out of the WB network. Its success has led to hundreds of tie-in products, including novels, comics, and video games. Joss Whedon became a household name, and allowed him to pitch and launch the spin-off Angel. His unique adventure/comedy writing would get him gigs in the comics world, which eventually led to him becoming the co-writer / director of one of the most successful movies of all time: The Avengers.
