Winning news: After graduating from college I had a lot and I mean ALOT of credit card debt. I had more that 5 credit cards. While I was assistant dean of residential students and teaching high school students I was slowly paying it off along with my student loans. But I left that job to pursue my art in Los Angeles. And for a while I was working a lot as an private voice teacher/actor/singer/voice-over artist. Then the economic downturn occurred and the artistic money dried up. By that time I only had 3 credit cards (a majority of the debt with BofA) That is when the phone calls came...we want our money was the gist of the messages. I said youll get it when you get I started working again this time as a call center operator. I started paying down the debt again but even with a good job in LA I wasnt making a dent because of the standard of living in LA. I wasnt progressing in my art and felt stifled. November of 2012 I made the decision that I was moving to New Orleans today November 8, 2014, while living in NOLA and being a fulltime musician, I say goodbye to BofA. PAID in FULL. I only have 1 credit card left and that is paid in full as well. I still have student loans to pay off but that is the next goal. Hopefully, I will be totally debt free in a year or so. Can I get a woo-hoo?
