Winnsboro parents, feel the need to share this for our kids safety......at approximately 4pm today an unknown individual male approximately 6 ,white ,dark hair , entered our home near the middle school, my oldest son was home alone, son came from restroom into living room and unknown male looked at him turned and left living room out to his truck and drove off in a 2013 or newer gmc/chevrolet style truck, solid black, crew cab, smooth body.....this occurred after my daughter then her cousin had walked to our home from the middle school, and within minutes of my leaving the house in my truck (both parental vehicles were gone from home). My first thought was someone trying to steal something, but after discussion with police this behavior apparently fits that of a child predator. Nothing was taken, no one was harmed, son was a little shaken, but I wanted to warn other parents. We are moving soon but it still doesnt make this any less scary. Maybe this was a wakeup call that even in our small town there are bad people and our children need to know to be aware and alert of what is going on around them :/ .
