Winter Riding!!. I hear a few riders had accidents while out on a Audax events yesterday. I was sorry to hear Georgina harper fell and broke her Arm hope she gets well soon and has a speedy recovery. The roads are really bad with mud from tractors these days Ive noticed while out riding. And as the cold mornings now start to draw in with patches of ICE on many roads and lanes its just not worth the risk. Just think to yourself is it really worth a bike ride In those conditions. I understand everyone wants to keep going during the winter months but ask yourself is it really worth having a serious accident or injury!. This time of year I choose not to ride long distance in winter months due to weather conditions. A simple 100k+ is well enough to keep you ticking over to which you can pick the best part of the day to ride!!. I guess we have all had a good Summer and rode plenty of miles and done big events. So come on guys and girls its time to rest up and look forward to the warmer weather. Be safe and happy cycling!!
