Winter Solstice, Sun Enters Capricorn, Cap New Moon, Uranus direct. Sunday – the Sun’s Day – December 21, 2014 So many festivals today. We have to keep track of them hourly. Many NGWS are having meditations from different parts of the world, in different time zones. Before the above occur, Uranus, planet of change (!!) turns stationary direct at 12>34 degrees Aries. Where is that in everyone’s chart? The Chart Today Note Sun/Moon 0 Capricorn at midheaven of chart. Winter solstice – the darkest day of the year, the beginning of winter, the beginning of the new light (not yet though – the new light begins to shine midnight Christmas morning – Thursday). This is the new light for the new year, a new light meaning a brighter light on the spiral of time than last year. Our world is all about Light in the Darkness. We can identify. We are “the Light of the world” for each other & for the kingdoms. An identity a Disciples understands. The times of the Festivals – Uranus stationary direct – 2:45 pm (west coast) Sun enters Capricorn – 3:03 pm (west coast) New Moon (Sun/Moon aligned 0 Capricorn) – 7:36 pm (west coast). Wherever we are we can adjust the above times to our time zones. “It is important to pay attention to the transition of the sun from one sign to the next, and to the cardinal points of the day, the month and the year. Thus, we can experience the change of energies and integrate ourselves into the rhythms of the larger system.” (MPK) Lights We have a many candles lit for the different celebrations today. We also add the Advent candle (today we light 4 candles as the 4th week of Advent begins today) & the menorah – 6 candles today. So much light in the darkness. Let us look around the Ashram and see that it is decorated for the new season. Each of us has brought to the ashram parts of ourselves. We have each brought a light to the Ashram. That light shines in the darkness until it is no more. Each A Contribution “Let us realize always that by our individual effort that each of us invokes into consciousness of this group information & instruction & therefore certain areas of wisdom, which would not find its way into the group if it were not for each of us. Therefore know that we each make our contribution to the group via our presence, an invocative force, to the wisdom, intelligence, love, willingness, health & harmony, creativity & beauty of this group.” (Cedercranz) “We think no thought & dream no dream that could harm our brothers & sisters & thereby dim their light. We see our brothers & sisters in the Light & with them, hand in hand, we walk toward the Lighted Path.” *** Sag to Capricorn From the Light of Sag to the Light of Capricorn We are in our last hours of Sagittarius. Later in the afternoon (3:03 pm west coast) the Sun exits Sag & enters the Gate of Capricorn – Gate where matter returns to Spirit. Thus the symbols of the ladder, of the mountain – which we climb to reach the Light Supernal. We bid adieu with comprehension & gratitude for Sag’s preparatory teachings on Discipleship. We move forward now, upward to the far snowy reaches of the Capricorn mountaintop. There we greet the Sun - “dawn’s early light.” *** Capricorn – the Light of Initiation. It clears the way to the mountaintop & produces transfiguration, thus revealing the Rising Sun. What is transfiguration? The meditative key notes for Capricorn, as the Sun enters Capricorn – 1. “Let ambition rule & let the door stand wide (open).” = these are the words of the personality – still being built, not strong enough yet to withstand the Light & Direction of the Soul – yet a very important developmental stage for humanity (each of us)…think Wall St., bankers, the 1% - working only for themselves – lost under the control of the Forces of Materialism, of Darkness & of Evil…this is an extreme example of this keynote – they are “blinded by fear, instinct, greed, believing freedom means attachment to form. The Gate of Capricorn is open, yet it remains unseen to them, blinded as they are by material illusion & glamour.” 2. “Lost am I in Light supernal, yet on that Light I turn my back.” = words describing the Soul’s progress (directing the personality), words of the Disciple & Initiate – consciousness of the virtues to be established, conscious of sharing, conscious of Divine Love. Conscious of being a “light in the world (like the Christ).” This is the culmination of a long journey (many lifetimes, Hercules labors through the signs). Now on the mountaintop there is a pause, a rest & the reward of the Light Supernal. The goat becomes the unicorn (one horn signifying the Ajna Center radiating the Light of the Sun to the world). However, during that rest, we hear the calls of humanity rising from the valleys of the Earth. The “call to Serve” is strong within the Disciple/Initiate. We realize we must “turn our backs on the Light” (after gathering its radiance), walk back down the mountain, re-enter the Gate of Cancer (where Spirit enters matter), and return to humanity (further incarnations) to serve in Aquarius. *** The above is a synthesis of the entire month of Capricorn, the sign & month in which the Light increases. For the next three days, the Sun’s rays remain at the Tropic of Capricorn, at rest, still, awaiting the Right Timing to begin the journey northward. We too are still & quiet, awaiting the new light to dawn, the “holy child,” the babe to be born (metaphor for the new dawn, new light for the world) in the stable at Bethlehem (a humble beginning, for all of humanity, in the House of Bread – nourishment for all the world, at the Crossroads of East & West). We are the Three Kings now – seeing the Light in the Heavens (Sirius – where Love originates). We realize the birth of the Holy Child is immanent. We being our journey westward to find the Holy Child. We are on a spiritual journey. Our directions are the stars, our companions each other. We take the kingdoms with us – the Three gifts. *** Join us today everyone. The Gayatri & the Radiance Mantrams. The Gayatri O Thou Who givest sustenance to the universe, From Whom all things proceed, To Whom all things return, Unveil to us the face of the true Spiritual Sun Hidden by a disc of golden Light That we may know the Truth And do our whole duty As we journey to Thy sacred feet. RADIANCE MANTRAM (As the NGWS working together) – Radiance we are & power We stand forever with our hands outstretched Linking the heavens & the Earth The inner world of meaning And the subtle world of glamours. We reach into the Light And bring it down to meet the need We reach into the silent place And bring from thence The gift of understanding Thus with the Light we work And turn the darkness into day. Thus with the Light we work And turning the darkness into day. *** The Sun & Our Bodies (of Light) The Sun’s position at the Tropic of Capricorn & it’s reflection in our bodies (of Light). The Sun & Moon festivals each month deposit seeds of light in our bodies. As the Sun rests at the Tropic of Capricorn, the Sun seed rests in our heart. During the new moon of Capricorn, the Sun seed is in the heart & the Moon seed is in our lower regions of the body. *** Let us be in the Light of this new day. Let us be the Light radiating in our surroundings. We light candles. The Ashram is filled with Light. The Ashram is wherever we are. Happy Solstice, everyone.
