Winter Storm Evacuation Tip: Make sure you have a carrier in place for each of your birds and kept somewhere easily accessible. In addition to losing power, one of the things we need to remember is that during extreme storms trees fall, windows break, etc and you may need to evacuate your home. When things like this happen you wont have time to search for your carriers. You will need to get out asap. So make sure your carriers are near your birds cages. And if you do not have a carrier for each bird, in a pinch you can use a box for the small and even medium sized birds. Just make sure they arent eating their way through it. --Nicole
