~Winter Weather update 7pm 1-28-14~ Expect one more very cold night with lows approaching double digit lows below zero. There is a wind chill advisory issued until 10am tomorrow morning. Wind Chills may approach -30. Tomorrow we should warm up into the teens ABOVE zero! Beach day anyone? Wednesday night we should see a fairly calm night until the very early morning hours. We should see snow moving in before we wake up. Snow totals as of right now look to be 1-3 maybe some isolated 4 spots. Thursday will also bring temps into the upper 20s. Snow should wind down later Thursday. We will have a calm day on Friday during the day but storm# 2 will roll in Friday night and last through Saturday. This one is looking to be a decent snowfall. Possibly the biggest one weve seen here in Jefferson County this year. If youre wondering, the biggest snow total Ive added up is 5. This could strike warning criteria. To be on the safe side right now I will say 2-6. It all depends where the heavy snow axis sets up. The models are still a bit confused. The heavy snow axis will set up anywhere between Central Wisconsin and Central Illinois. wherever it sets up it will bring a band of 6+ inches. The national weather service is saying 2-4 on the first 2 storms. However, they also said its looking to be more snowier. Wouldnt be shocked to see these totals rise. We should see a quiet Sunday and Monday. Storm number 3 could be a very large storm! It could dump at least 12+ inches over someone here in the upper Midwest to the lower Great Lakes. Id say the heaviest snow axis will again set up between Central Wisconsin and Central Illinois. It is looking more and more likely that this storm will develop. What remains the question is where the snow falls. To Sum this all up, by next Wednesday we should be looking at more than a foot of snow on the ground from all 3 storms combined. The weekend storm and next week storm bear some SERIOUS watching. There also might be yet ANOTHER cold snap by late next week. Below I have some models compliments of Daves Weather Eye! These models show snow totals through the middle of next week. Sorry to have such bad news for all the winter haters! I wouldnt cancel any plans you may have just yet. Let the weather models fight it out over the next few days. The only thing for sure is the 1-3 for tomorrow night into Thursday. I will try and have weather updates like this every night from here on out through the storms. A special Thanks to my wife Danyelle Senti! Shes been very supportive of my weather addiction :). ~Sam
