Winter beach It was cool at the beach this afternoon after the rain. I left Lilly Mae at home so I could enjoy my favorite time at the beach: deserted, dark clouds, and cold, with a hint of loneliness. There were a some surfers and a few other brave souls, but for the most part the beach belonged to the birds and me. Contrary as it may sound, there is something about the empty, quiet beach that fills me with serenity. Its been a weekend of messages from spirit animals and saying goodbye to friends, and this afternoons beach made it all seem right.
