Winter is the best time to kick yourself into gear as far as health and fitness goals are concerned. Getting active over the Winter will help stave off the few extra layers we tend to gain with all of those warming, hearty comfort foods. Exercise is also proven to lift your mood. So if like me you get the winter blues, do something that gets you out of the house and gets your heart rate up. Increasing movement will also help you to keep warm. If you get aches and pains in the cold then you have to know that motion is lotion! With a more active lifestyle and better mood, you will also enjoy a stronger immune system. Meaning less of the nasty Winter bugs. Imagine powering through Winter with more energy and life then going into the warmer months feeling great about yourself inside and out.
