Winter weather PSA: There are many things pet owners should do to keep their pets warm and safe during winter months. One item that is often overlooked is the protection of your dogs paws. Products that are used to melt ice on sidewalks (Ice Melt, etc...) can be very damaging to a dogs sensitive paws and cause irritation. It can also lead to stomach upset if a dog licks their paws after a walk outside. We recommend using a sponge and warm water to gently wipe your dogs paws after walking through salt on sidewalks.
