Winter will arrive again tonight after three balmy spring-like days in a row. Hitting 50 degrees in December is rare, only happening six other times dating back one hundred years, 1923, 1939, 1941, 1962, 1998, 1877. Thanks to Sven Sundgaard for doing some climate research for us. Temperatures will fall a good 30 degrees by tomorrow morning and will stay in the 20s for highs through Friday with lows in the teens. Temperatures will rebound back to the freezing point this weekend. The sun will return as the inversion finally was broken with the storm that scrubbed out the atmosphere today. Cooler, drier air will push in later Tuesday. A few flurries are on tap Tuesday morning along with clouds and blustery conditions. Winds will be blustery this morning but diminish later today. Quiet weather conditions for the remainder of the week with High pressure over the area. The next shot of snow moves in next Monday night through Tuesday morning. Belinda Jensen
