Wisdom For Today.. I have been preaching this very thing for the last five years or more and I find my words are hated by more Christians that ever before.... WHY???????????? 1Jn 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1Jn 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever............. There was a time I loved the things of the world, my eyes lusted and my pride was out of hand.. The sad thing is I fit right in back then............ 1Co_13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
