The body parts are meant for earth only, and they would decay after death (even if one is alive during rapture, he/she will be transformed from physical body). The spirit keeps us alive but it belongs to God, and our souls belong to us. Our souls would face God’s judgment to be rewarded either positively or negatively. Therefore, we must be careful not to allow our temporary body desires to corrupt our souls. Eventually the physical body would excuse our souls to face consequences of our actions.
