Wise Words Wednesday- Our body is a negative feedback system. It tells you when things are wrong but not always when things are right. A quiet system that you can feel (not a disconnected/numb system) is healthy. Pain, tension, weakness, fatigue are all examples of your body telling you where your boundaries lie and keeping you from injuring yourself. Listen to your body but also embrace the calm and quiet moments when your body is doing its job without issues. Often our clients notice immediate changes of pain relief and strength that are easily noticeable but as their body begins to adjust to this pain free and balanced (and therefore quiet) way of being, they question if they are doing anything at all. Gaining strength is not meant to be painful if you are doing it right. Pain is telling you to watch your boundary.
