Wish I Was Here is an authentic artistic expression of the humor, struggles, and triumphs innate to the human condition and is one of the very best films of 2014. Any fans of Garden State should absolutely see this film but I recommend it to all. Like his aforementioned classic, Zach Braff wrote, directed, and starred in this beautifully rendered and transcendentally true story of family. While the human interpersonal relationships are as real as they were 10 years ago in his previous work, this arc takes place at a different era in a lifetime. Therefor, dont expect a falling in love story as much as a story about a familys love persevering amidst the disorienting but ultimately enlightening ride that is life. Please check this film out, its the kind of movie that everyone should see with their families as it helps us grow closer to one another and the truth, which is one and the same-love.
