Wish I could see this in person! Some people wonder why Wagnerian singers are usually so large. The whole body is the instrument. It takes incredible strength and stamina to sing major Wagnerian roles. Also, as one of my voice professors, Paul Matthen, once told me, "The Wagnerian voice is not a size, it is a color." Of course, it is also a size in order to sing over the huge orchestra scored by Wagner, which is heavy with brass!
