Wish I would of had one of those grant things Ive heard about, for I could of spent my day exploring & taking pixs of all the plants & critters I had discovered over on 2nd creek down by twinsprings! Would of even painted pixs had some rich person paid my bills while studing all the neat things I was running across. Will have to drag the book back out & figure out just what it was that I seen. Found a red berried shrub that smells exactly like a lemon tree, Wade actualy found this a couple months ago but I went back to see it again. Was looking for drift wood to carve & seen lots of blooms new to me & indeed something to peek my curiousity every where. Snakes, minnows, lizzards, you name it all in a nice shady hollow with all kinds of rocks & fossils. A heartbeat from the lake. Even know of an old dump sight from 100 years ago along the wagon road that crossed where I was at. Even the locations of the log cabin sites close by. From old bottles to new bugs could of had quite the adventure. Settled on a few pixs & some nice drift wood thrown in the truck as well Radar the pup & headed home. Will have to go back soon funded or not, need to fix a couple stands of a watergap anyhow. Good excusse to go & play all day.
