Wish to Thank HBGRR for our wonderful Benny Boy who rescued us in 2001 and passed away June 2, 2014. The absolute best dog ever. His Mommie and Daddy miss him so. We had lost our two previous dogs and had applied at Homeward Bound. They came with 5 Goldens to check us out, we were approved in 5 minutes and they stayed 3 hrs. But there were none for us. They suggested we go to their Adoption Event at Petco in Vacaville, sadly no one was right and I cried all the way home. Then one dark night we received a call from Jody and we rushed down to Sacramento to meet a 1 yr. old that had just come in. One look and we had found our baby! He had been in 5 different homes but he was here to stay. He came down with kennel cough and pneumonia, almost lost him but Homeward Bound came to the rescue and after 5 days at the vet he survived. Never ever did one thing wrong - ever. So very smart, just a four legged human. He trained all the neighbors and friends who frequented our home that before they could pass beyond the laundry room they had to give him a cook-cook! Forever in our ❤️Benny Boy - Thank you Homeward Bound!!
