Wishes, desires and their futility is what defines the Maaya, the - TopicsExpress

Wishes, desires and their futility is what defines the Maaya, the illusory world. I want something, you want something, we all want something and inorder to fulfil these wants we create various dramas in life. The fallacy is in the fact that once the goal is obtained we then start running after the next goal. The drama never really end. The external world is all shining but an empty theatre. The drama is like the rainbow not having a cause and serving any purpose; it is there and it is not there. It all depends how much one craves for it and that ceasing, it simply dissolves into emptiness. When the mind lapses, there seems to be a meaning and depth to such dramas. We don’t just wish but want the drama. It is full of cosmetics to please the prejudiced mind and pre-set illusory notions of social acceptance or deviance. The mind likes comfort so it seeks it in the external world dramas. One absorbs the drama for erstwhile pleasure or suffer fear while it lasts. There would be another drama to fight fear. But all is soon forgotten for the next episode to begin. The Self sees this all as a colourful drama enjoyed by the body-mind-senses. One aware of the Self just witnesses and enjoys the drama, when and where it happens without desire or fear. The Self is not in the business of showmanship; neither is the Self the audience. The Self is aware of one eternal truth that it is a part of the same creator who creates, annihilates and recreates everything. Aham Brahmasmi :-) Om Prem Shaanti :-)
