Wishing Well By Eric Casey I threw my lucky penny down a wishing well Where it fell and fell Down into the depths of Hell It smacked the Devil on the head Now sweet children sleep easy in bed Knowing that their nightmares are gone and dead Wishing well, wishing well How many wishes do you sell? Can I buy a something to bring to show-and-tell? A pony, a piano, a ping-pong ball A spaceship, a shiny ring, a shopping mall How many wishes can I have after all? Can I wish for infinite toys? Can I ask for unending joy? Can I request a burger made of soy? I threw my lucky penny down a wishing well I have too much stuff now if you can’t tell I wish you could have some cool wishes as well.
