With 35 years of doing business in North Queensland, Ingham Drilling have definitely witnessed Cairns ride the tourism wave - only to crash and burn with the help of the global financial crisis. Not only has this affected tourism, but it also dwells deeper down to businesses, locals and families. The GFC has been and gone, things have picked up and there are huge changes happening in the wider world. Cairns however has stayed the same since then and not reacted. A reflection of this is seen in the performance of Cairns as a tourism destination over the past decade. In saying that, this does not mean the end of Cairns and the rest of the Tropical North Queensland as a growth destination. It’s time for a change, as change is the only constant.
