With BJPs progress in the state,Mamata is going berserk and ordering her goons to attack BJP workers. Reports are coming in from Sandeshkhali and Hingalgunj (both on the Bangladesh border) as well as Bhangar, Chowbaga (all in North 24-Parganas district), etc that Trinamooli goons, with cattle smugglers and fundamentalist Muslims are attacking BJP workers. In Chowbaga, off the Basanti Highway, a BJP workers bookshop was set on fire last night. Meanwhile journalists tell me that in spite of getting 34 seats there isnt a hint of a smile on Mamatas face. She is swearing at them. The reasons are not difficult to understand. She could neither become the Prime Minister (after that flop show in Ramleela Maidan, Delhi) nor any Nirnayak Shakti (determining factor) after BJP alone crossed the 272-seat mark, nor even become the third largest party (in which Jayalalitha beat her). And on top of that the resurgent BJP taking the opposition slot from the moribund Left! This is too much!
