With Manchester United’s Premier League season now over, the race is on for them to be first in line to acquire their summer targets to bolster their squad, after having the worst Premier League campaign of their history. One player they have been linked with this summer is Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas. The Spanish midfielder has scored eight goals and made 13 assists this season. He was heavily linked last summer, but publicly reaffirmed his desire to remain at the Nou Camp. Coral are giving him 6/1 to be a Manchester United summer signing, with the new manager, allegedly set be the Netherlands coach Louis Van Gaal, well-known around Europe who can convince big-name players to come with him – with Bayern’s Arjen Robben one of the names linked. With Barcelona currently on course to end the season trophyless on all major fronts, many believe Fabregas could seek out a move elsewhere. Manchester United have long been interested in Fabregas, and could well test Barcelona’s resolve this summer.
