With Nationals this week, here is a helpful reminder for how I pack for a show :) I am an advocate for being prepared and organized... here are some ideas as to what is in my show day bag. Really, it is just the necessities that I bring to the show itself. I may be missing a thing or two, but you will get the idea of what to bring, especially if you are out of town or province! In the morning, I wear comfy clothes (to prevent lines from tan on my body) to and from the hotel to the venue with flip flops on my feet. The evening show I will change into something dressy after the show is done but again, wear comfy clothes to the venue. Show Day Pack List Ideas: Directions to the venue/address of venue if taking a cab Schedule for the day (received at registration Friday night) Competitor Number Button (alrady buttoned on suit) Posing Suits Stage Shoes Jewlery Bikini Bite Tanning supplies (if not having spray tan) Small Mirror (to check make up, you know you are going to!) Spare Hand & Face Towel Baby Wipes/Lysol wipes Non Latex Gloves Mini sewing Kit (incase of a suit emergency) Safety Pins (incase of a suit emergency) Bobby pins (incase of a suit or hair emergency) Makeup (if needed for touch ups) Brush/comb Mini Hairspray Lip gloss/vaseline Nail File/ Clippers/ Extra press on nails Tampons (lol, you never know when mother nature will show up) iPod/Headphones Cell Phone/Camera Food for the day/utensils (somehow you always forget about utensils!) Exercise band After show clothes Wallet * Most shows have pump up weights backstage, but confirm this before the show. Even still have an exercise band in case they are limited. ~ali~
