With Scott Morrison at the helm and cuts to homeless and support services 3 days before Christmas announced already, seems we have a bigger fight on our hands. Politics never interested me until Julia Gillard laid her attack on sole parents the day she gave her famous misogyny speech in Parliament. Now politics doesnt interest me, it angers me!! To see so much corruption in the last 2 years since Ive stopped and started taking notice to it all has made me realise our big corporations and mining magnates run our beautiful country, not our politicians. The work Ive done over the past two years has made me tired. Really tired. The stories Im reading already with cuts from Scott Morrison is really depressing me. Ive decided to go offline and remove facebook from my phone and enjoy my life again without politics and the sadness it causes. I feel selfish as I know this time of year brings so much heartache to many, but I know I need to recharge my batteries for another year of lobbying for change.
