With Thanksgiving just around the corner a lot of people come to us looking for advice on what to put in their faces. Lets cover the basics. For Thanksgiving, your first priority has got to be food. Most folks do a turkey, some people do ham. You can do whatever you want. Whatever makes you most thankful. Even if thats a tofurkey. If you dont know what that is, dont google image search it without barf bag at the ready. We dont know how Vegans do it. Vegetables we get, but tan football shaped clumps of soy-based protein? Whats up with that? Heres the only position were going to take on the issue: it very well may be that eating animals is an immoral act... but we are particles clinging to a speck of dust in a vast and empty universe... and, frankly, given the circumstances, not eating other humans is a pretty big moral accomplishment. Lets just rest on our laurels for a while. Heres some good news, beer (with few exceptions) is Vegan friendly, so if you need something to wash down your plant-matter platter, do it with beer. Here are some great pairings for a typical Thanksgiving dinner: Pumking Pumpkin Ale, Stillwater Classique Saison, Victory Beers Moonglow Weizenbock, Thomas Creek Fall River Red Ale, Jekyll Merican Amber Ale, and of course, our current tap offering Hitachino Nest Real Ginger Brew.
