With a functional railway system Nigerians can 1. Live in one state and work in another state 2. Keep a good number of cars off the road thereby saving money that should have been used for fuel 3. Afford cheaper accommodations since there wont be need to overcrowd any city since you dont have to live in a particular city for you to work in that city 4. Move their containers and other haulage related things cheaply and safely 5. Transport diesel and pms cheaply and safely across different states and regions without being held to ransom by petroleum tanker drivers 6. Rest more instead of driving for several hours every day thereby reducing stress and living a more healthy life And you say the railway system revival is no big deal? In fact, it is a mega deal. After all, some of our brothers living in the US and Europe make use of trains as they dont all drive their cars from point A to point B all the time.
