With a heavy heart I have to announce that my fave little shop Yellow Button Store, which I started three and half years ago will cease to be from March 2015. In these three years and half years, I have not only had the chance to work with so many amazing indie and established designers but have also had the chance to meet so many amazing customers who have become friends over the years, and for this I am deeply thankful. I know for certain that our vendors loved us because we have always provided them value, paid them on time, and valued them as partners. Our customers loved us for bringing them inspired curated products that were affordable. We’ve been covered in every newspaper in the city, named as one of the coolest stores in Bangalore by India Today in 2013, the top 100 stores in the Hip city guide by Elle and amongst the Top 10 Things to do in Bangalore by Conde Nast Traveller in 2014 to name a few!!:) I have tried to find folks with a similar vision as me to continue the growth of the brand but Im afraid that did not work out. I do admit that I have done this only in a limited way so as to not impact the brand image but the reality is my time has been tight. I have had to focus on scaling up my other store House of Taamara from mid last year with an entirely different product range. I’m also constantly travelling and the last thing Id want is for Yellow Button to lose its charm as a result of my inability to give it the attention it deserves. As a gesture of our immense appreciation for all our wonderful customers, everything in the store will be sold at a discount in the next two months. I know I will continue to see many of you at House of Taamra but do come over and say good bye to Yellow Button. It will always hold a very dear place in my heart. Madhavi
