With a heavy heart, I wish a dear friend and fellow problem solver to so many, Jeffrey McManus farewell and extend so much gratitude to his wife Carole and his family for sharing him with the tech community and cannot imagine the impact of this sudden loss. In 2009, before I met many of the countless mutual friends we later shared, Jeffrey and I worked remotely on some special innovative projects for Snapfish and HP while he was a freelance web developer. It was such a delight to work with someone who was so passionate and dedicated to inventing better ways for technology and people to interact and be creative. It was an even greater delight when we met IRL at a tech event years later and became friends and colleagues. Through the years, Jeffrey became a motivating and trusted friend with whom to share brainstorms, stories and ideas - a mentor of sorts. Ever generous, he was quick to offer insights, advice, resources and a witty Tweet of encouragement. Carole, it was a pleasure to meet you at Bar Agricole some years ago when you and Jeffrey bought me a drink from across the restaurant on one of your date nights. The love and friendship you shared between the two of you and the adventures of your family became an inspiration. My thoughts are with you and your family in this difficult time. A truly good person and friend to many, a loving husband to Carole and doting father of two, Jeffrey, you will be missed. Thank you for having made this world a brighter one.
