With a heavy heart I write this article on behalf of the youth of the state challenging the decision taken by the government. This government came to power on an anti corruption wave against the B.J.P. and Mr. Dhumal . after coming to power the state machinery has been working twenty four hours to find any kind of documentary evidence of corruption against Dhumal his son.Subsequently initiating many inquiries against them . Many officials who were working with Dhumal in the state are in a dock for one reason or another . Then be it the H.P.C.A. lease agreement or the much publicized phone tapping case being investigated by the richest police official of the state ,D.I.G. vigilance Shri A.P. Singh. But the irony of the situation is that now years after the death of a police official who was suspended on charges of corruption and was considered to be the blue eyed boy of Mr. Virbhadra Singh and his Clan his son Adhiraj Thind has been inducted into the state police services to the rank of inspector on compassionate grounds .This has been done flouting all rules and regulations by the chief minister himself ,even after his cabinet colleagues were against this decision. The family of Mr. Thind was already drawing over Rs 40,000 per month as pension and enjoying other retiral benefits, which was more than the annual family income that would entitle the beneficiary for being considered for state government service on compassionate grounds, said the source with in the government . o9n the one hand the state government is not in a position even to pay salary to its officials and the chief minister is running pillar to post to get financial assistance for the state and on the other hand the rules are being bent to accommodate the kith and kin of a few so called loyal officials to Mr. Virbhadra Singh by the state government. “In fact for past many years the posts were being filled up only by way of promotion. Besides, even if one wanted to fill up these positions by way of direct recruitment, one had to pass the rigorous selection procedures of HP Service Selection Board or HP Public Service Commission’s for different categories of available vacant positions”. This is nothing but a slap on the face of people like me who have been preparing for the civil services examination and have no political background .people like me nave been working hard to get a chance to serve the state or the nation. But this arbitrary and whimsical use of power is sure to demoralize many in the state.. thank you VIRBHADRA SINGH ji . YOUTH AGAINST CORRUPTION, (HIMACHAL PRADESH UNIT) .
