With a little over 30 swimmers starting the race, we are please to announce that Dimity Gannon currently with YMCA, completed the 1.6 mile English Caye Channel Swim Challenge in record time of 46 minutes and 27 second. We thank the Coastal Zone Management Authority & Institute for hosting the event and providing the prize of a trip for 4 to Goffs Caye. We thank the participants that made to trip to make this event such a success. We also thank Guerrero Charters for supplying transportation, Belize Coast Guard for providing safety support; Belize Port Authority for Shipping schedule information, KREM TV for news coverage and the Belize Sea Scouts for their help.
