With a proper tax collection system south east States of Nigeria wl fair well and pay their bills! The Igbo are very industrious people and are law abiding which wl naturally spur them to pay their tax in the interest of progress and development! It is nt news to note that the Igbo man detests anything that interfers wt his daily activities hence his readiness to cooperate wt the law of the land at any given time! Igbo land is the only place in Nigeria where personal income tax evasion is difficult and if this strength is properly harnessed wt sincerity of purpose, the society wl benefit immensely! All the various State govts need to do is to properly plan and prudently manage the situation! Can u imagine Anambra State raising its IGR from 500m naira to 1bn monthly in just 6 months of Obiano administration? Can u also imagine that Enugu State now generates above 1.6bn monthly as IGR under Gov Sullivan Chimes purposeful leadership? Wht is needed is sincerity of direction in governance and the result shall be awesome! Anambra and Abia States are capable of generating 4 to 5bn monthly if properly tapped and managed! Enugu,Imo and Ebonyi can comfortably raise their respective monthly IGRs to 2.5 to 3bn if the right things are done! We are law abiding citizens who wl readily pay our tax if rightly guided and motivated! I write this as a wake up call to the governors of south eastern States! We do nt need federal allocation to survive,we are enterprising in all true sense of it! If the need be let them consult me for effective tax system development! I can develop a tax collection package that wl transform any society! Govt needs money to provide infrastructures and basic necessities of life for its citizens and wtout revenue it can nt meet such demands! I urge both the citizens and govt to be responsibly responsive in this regard, together we can build a better society! Long Live the Great Rising Sun! Long Live Nigeria!
