With all of the trouble I had with the rxt and no safe install in - TopicsExpress

With all of the trouble I had with the rxt and no safe install in my car, I have my son back in his old convertible britax with the built in lock offs. I am thinking it is an older pavilion but Ive looked at so many seats the last few days and it is cold and rainy outside so I cant go look right now. Anyway, with my issues in this car and the seatbelt problems and with his age......would it be wise to just put him in the pinnacle 90 in a couple months? He is 28 months, 39 pounds, 39 inches and a thick boy. His weight teeters between 39-40 as he weighs after mommy does so weve hit the limit for rf with a seat I can use anyhow. For the pinnacle and his age and size, would he be just as safe in that as a convertible car seat? I know they classify pinnacle as a booster and I wasnt sure. He fits well in it and seems comfortable but I want to make sure I dont sacrifice any safety features going from the convertible to the booster. Probably a silly question I know lol. My reasoning was that is rather have a tight and correct install ff than a wobbly and not correct radian install rf or forward for that matter. We tried everything with that radian but our car was just not compatible and it was a bummer too cause I loved the seat.
