With all of the vocal jazz festivals happening of late, Im curious what you all have noticed works logistically best AND is most educational for the students? How many days and how many performing venues? What is an ideal length of clinics? On-stage clinics or clinics in a separate room? How can we still involve the groups in the festival once theyve performed their set and had a clinic? How many clinicians in attendance, and written or taped comments? How are newer technologies being used? What kind of interest sessions have you seen at which students really light up?
