With all the controversy about the Senate report on Enhanced - TopicsExpress

With all the controversy about the Senate report on Enhanced Interrogation Techniques, there has been much hypocrisy in regard to Bushs efforts to protect America and its citizens. With the surprise attack on our World Trade Center, there was much concern about what might come next and Bush wanted to do everything he could to prevent a follow up, including EIT efforts on key prisoners to ferret them out. I do NOT believe the end justifies the means… unless survival or many lives are at stake, so I support Bushs efforts and those below. Others seem to hold to a “higher standard” though it has little common sense, and to which I add the following questions… Was Abraham Lincoln wrong to wage war not only on the Confederate Army, but also on private citizens in the South, burning homes and killing thousands? Were FDR and Truman wrong in waging war not only on German and Japanese military, but also on private citizens, killing tens of thousands by firebombing and atomic bombs? Is obama wrong in waging war on terrorists with drones, but also killing large numbers of innocent civilians in the process? csis.org/blog/understanding-decision-drop-bomb-hiroshima-and-nagasaki
