With all the emphasis now on the Mayoral race, it is time to start - TopicsExpress

With all the emphasis now on the Mayoral race, it is time to start looking at some of the minor players, especially the group of 8, and how we can affect the balance of power of the new council. bobchapman.ca/ As a public servant, I have experience with spending tax dollars wisely and Ive usually been successful in doing more with less. Yet, he supported the Unconsolidated Works Depot, $35M wasted My promise to the citizens of Oshawa is this: Should you elect me, I will continue to provide respectful, responsive, responsible representation at both the Regional and City councils. Let his voting record speak for him!! My Platform I believe in Respectful, Responsive and Responsible Representation. Elected in 2010 to represent the citizens of Oshawa at City Hall and Regional Council, I promised to conduct myself in a respectful, responsive and responsible manner and I believe I’ve accomplished just that. Wow, glad that YOU believe that, Bob. But we, the taxpayer do not agree. 2. Responsive Representation I believe the most important function for our elected officials is to listen to the citizens they serve. This must be a priority for anyone serving on Oshawa City or Durham Regional Council. You will only know the wants and needs of your community through active listening. Are you listening to the citizens? Did we support the Unconsolidated Works Depot? 3. Responsible Representation My promise in 2010 was to minimize tax increases, challenge financial decisions to ensure every tax dollar collected is spent wisely and manage Oshawa’s debt. Did Bob challenge the Unconsolidated Works Depot? Did he ask for a business plan??
