With all the news this week, you may have missed the fact that Obama issued another executive order creating another government bureaucracy this past Friday. The order is titled “Preparing the United States for the Impacts of Climate Change.” The executive order created is called the “Council on Climate Preparedness and Resilience”, a bureaucracy that expands government bureaucrats’ role in how Americans use their lands, energy, waters and property. Obama takes this step despite the debunking of most the ‘science’ behind the global warming hysteria so popularly touted by Al Gore (he of ‘inventing the internet’ fame). Average temperatures have leveled for more than a decade, despite the sharply rising use of carbon energy in China and other countries. Once again, Obama has bypassed Congress and created an entity answerable to him alone. This council will authorize agencies to use the promise of environmental disaster to force changes on Americans’ use of energy and land, and to increase taxpayer spending on expanding the renewable energy sector. Let us not forget the debacle of renewable energies businesses in Obama’s first term. You remember – the ones we paid billions to support and who all went bankrupt? Like Solyndra. Like wind turbines that killed thousands of birds. One patriot has this to say about the new council: “Thats the Saul Alinsky, Rules for Radicals M.O. : pass regulations/mandates that ARENT legal, and dare the people to challenge it in court (figuring they have a 50/50 chance of having a sympathetic court side with them, providing a back-door legalization of an illegal statute).....” How much more must Americans be subjected to before our Legislature does the right thing and impeach this S.O.B.?
