With all the projects that Ridley Scott has talked about that have excited fans such as Prometheus 2, Blade Runner 2, and Exodus, he is turning his sights to a movie about concussions. He and his longtime personal and professional partner Giannina Facio have reportedly been meeting with prominent writers to do an expose drama about the dangers of concussions in sports. This has been a big issue in football and hockey, especially with new research on a possible condition called chronic traumatic encephalopathy. Deadline’s source states that Scott wants his movie to be to concussions what The Insider exposed about what the cigarette industry knew about smoking causing cancer. He is reportedly so enthusiastic about this project that he wants it to be his next movie.
