With companies like AirBNB (rent out your home when youre not using it) and FlightCar (rent out your car that you parked at the airport) and the many specialized peer-to-peer rental marketplaces for anything from gardening equipment (rent out your lawnmower) ... its getting to a point where you can almost profit from taking an exotic trip as long as youre comfortable with others using your stuff. And if you add in airline loyalty programs or special flight deal networks, then your flight is often 60-80% cheaper than regular rates. Add on little where is my stuff wifi based trackers onto your equipment (for that peace of mind, if you need it, so even while youre on a different continent you know where your things are)... would this encourage you to travel and experience more?
