With consensus among the populace of the areas levelled by the typhoon this is the best opportunity to redesign its configurations to augment the demand of the community that is going to dwell in it in the future. This is the right time to reapportion the structures to accommodate the present and future needs based on geographical influx of new inhabitants. Urban zoning to dovetail proper allocation of areas shall be established to conform to the modern specifications and requirements. General and low cost housing (shall be provided to everyone), sufficient water supply, efficient electrical distribution systems, better communication facilities, sea walls, wave surcharge barriers, roads and bridges, sewers and storms drainage system, government service infrastructures, business and financial establishments, house of worships and other necessary entities that are required to make a balance urban design shall be taken into consideration in the preliminary and feasibility studies to be submitted to the majority of the people for final approval before implementation. This is a gigantic and ambitious proposal but I know it is doable if our government and the people will do their part to contribute their ideas, their full cooperation, and their participations in the process to make all of these a reality through our lord Jesus Christ. I know that we need to go outside the box or our comfort zone in order to accomplish things in this kind of project with this unimaginable proportion. If we do not think ahead to improve the old set up we will experience the same problems that brought us to this horrible situations again in the future. We need every one’s opinion to be considered in the conceptual planning process in order to make a master plan that will incorporate every aspects of a well-designed template.
