With crowd thinning persistently, promises to delude public ran out, sound systems breaking down, political isolation at its peak and moral credibility down-at-heel, PTI’s [mis]adventure is heading towards an anti-climax. It obviously largely failed to achieve what it targeted for but the goal itself was awfully ill-defined and enormously un-realistic. But the exercise is leaving plenty of lessons to learn for PTI leadership and to pick-up the political threads where it left them if the Party is serious to sustain its relevance in the political landscape of Pakistan. One message came out loud and clear: Political conscious of the society is constantly moving forward and role and scope for non-political actors is actively being questioned. PTI should work to improve its political appeal rather than finding short-cuts.
