With due respect to my colleagues who are suffering from sugar , being overweight , With coming of the Eid ul Fitr I will shed some light on the origin of Jalebi According to the British Encyclopaedia , Jalebi , jilapi , jillawi , Zalobay Zulbia Zalabiya or Mushabbaka , is a sweet made from maida Flour , oil ghee sugar with saffron , lemon juice or rose water. They have chewy texture with crystallised sugary exterior . Its very popular in Central Asia , sub continent of India Middle East and North Africa , Its served in celebration such as Ramadhan , Eid , Diwali. While in afghan during Nowroz and happily to khana e khusar , According to Muhammad bin al Hassan al Baghdadi , its origin goes to 13th century AD , while SOAAF School of Asian African Food department of Sweet And Meat , Jalebi was eaten and served even before 1450. In modern days the best Jalebi is in western world I mean Europe and America is Sold in Jalebi Junction West London England , while I need help where we get great Zzalobay in Afghanistan ?
