With everything that has been going on, a couple of my moms friends asked me how I had not just fallen apart with everything that happened. 2013 was shit and just as things picked up, Amma broke her foot - that was the context in which my falling apart would happen. And they were right, if ever was a time to fall apart, now I would honestly be given permission. I smiled and said there were two choice at this point .. run away or stand firm. Where I got that from.. well that came from Daddy. Daddy said in life you had two choices when life threw the kitchen sink at you.. you could either crumb into dust or rise and soar above the clouds. That did not mean you did not deal with hiccups. And trust me .. there are days that crumbing into dust sounds like a damn good idea. But then Daddys spirit seems to kick me in the ass and make me rise again. I write this for everyone going through a situation that looks dark and the light seems so far away.. keep going. Just keep going…
